“Thank you Right On team – the reporting process is always hard, but the result is five stars!”

MAKE THE SPRAWLING SUCCINCT

Outside of “reporting season,” ESG documentation and information gathering can take a backseat to other, more pressing tasks. For our third year working with ServiceNow, we knew we needed to get involved earlier in the process to help subject matter experts identify the year’s most compelling stories to include in the report.

CONTENT ANALYSIS

Long before creating the content brief, we collaborated with the ServiceNow team to develop and distribute questionnaires to help SMEs gather relevant information and make the case for their initiative’s inclusion in the report. Having all these accomplishments and potential interview topics up front allowed us to get an early overview of the ESG priorities that were most relevant to ServiceNow’s overarching sustainability program.

Right On spent nearly 60 hours preparing for, conducting, and synthesizing 12 separate SME interviews – all before writing began.

CONTENT STRATEGY

After collecting and evaluating a year’s worth of data on ServiceNow’s comprehensive ESG programs, we set to work developing a content brief that established the purpose, narrative, and content priorities for the Global Impact Report. This content brief served as the go-to document throughout the process for Right On and stakeholders across ServiceNow, keeping everyone pointed in the same direction.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

With all the pieces in place, we set to the task of crafting a complex, 60-page Global Impact Report that touched on strategies and achievements happening across the globe. Despite its length, Right On worked hard to balance narrative and data to make the final report compelling to read. In the end, we pulled all these disparate threads together to showcase a company hard at work “making the world work better for everyone.”

Story + Data
The 2023 Global Impact Report satisfies the reporting requirements for GRI, SASB, TCFD, and UN SDGs.

NUMBERS AND NARRATIVE IN PERFECT HARMONY

It’s no small task to make a human, narrative-driven Global Impact Report. But when it comes to ESG, a story is only as good as the data that supports it. Together with ServiceNow, we were not only able to craft a great story, we’re proud to say that the 2023 Global Impact Report also satisfies the reporting requirements for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), and UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
